The beginning
In April and May 2021 Kilkenny County Council commissioned Turley consultants to work with community of Urlingford in a collaborative Health Check process, that aimed to identify priorities for a future town plan for Urlingford. Following this process the Turley Town Plan for Urlingford was published.
Part of this plan was to set up a Town Team that would be responsible for the implementation of the priorities set out in the Town Plan.
In response to a request from Kilkenny County Council a group of people came together on a voluntary basis to form The Urlingford Town Team which met for the first time in June 2021. Since then we have become incorporated as a company limited by guarantee, Urlingford Town Team CLG. Meet the team here ...
How we work
The Urlingford Town Team will work in an open and collaborative way with all of the local community, other local voluntary organisations and with other key partners such as Kilkenny County Council and the Department of Rural and Community Development
